New Jets coach Aaron Glenn said Monday that Hall is one of three running backs that the team wants to "utilize as much as possible," Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
The other two presumably are 2024 fourth-round pick Braelon Allen and 2024 fifth-round pick Isaiah Davis, both of whom had some nice moments as rookies while spelling Hall off the bench during his disappointing season. It won't come as any surprise if the uber-talented Hall improves in 2025 and re-establishes himself as a workhorse back under a new coaching staff, but it's nonetheless interesting to see the contrast between Glenn's comment on Hall and what he said when reporters asked about WR Garrett Wilson. Glenn referred to Wilson as a "dynamic player" and said the Jets will try to get him the ball "as much as possible."

The Panthers are signing Rico Dowdle to replace Miles Sanders (free agent) as Hubbard's backup, ESPN.com reports.
Hubbard and Dowdle both were lead backs last year, but there doesn't seem to be any doubt about whose show it will be in 2025, considering the former signed a four-year, $33.2 million extension. Dowdle settled for a one-year deal with a reported base value of $3 million, which suggests NFL teams view him as a backup-caliber player even after he ran for 1,079 yards in Dallas last year. Hubbard is the better pure runner, and generally a superior player, but it is possible he cedes more of the backfield work in 2025 (compared to last season) if Carolina's coaches like Dowdle more than they liked Sanders. There's no indication Hubbard's calf and knee injuries from the end of 2024 will be a problem for the upcoming season, whereas 2024 second-round pick Jonathon Brooks figures to miss significant time after tearing his right ACL for the second time in two years.

Trask and the Buccaneers agreed Wednesday on a one-year, $2.787 million contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Trask will spend his fifth straight NFL campaign with Tampa Bay after the organization selected him in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The 27-year-old has yet to see much action outside of the preseason, taking just 32 offensive snaps and completing four of 11 pass attempts for 28 yards over seven abbreviated appearances during the regular season. Trask is slated to serve as the backup to Baker Mayfield again in 2025.

Kansas City restructured Jones' contract Wednesday, Adam Teicher of ESPN reports.
Along with the restructuring of teammate Patrick Mahomes' contract, the Chiefs have freed up nearly $50 million in cap space with the move. Now there will be more space on the books for recent free-agent acquisition Kristian Fulton, who will be joining Jones on Kansas City's starting defensive unit in 2025.

McKee is in line to be the No. 2 quarterback behind Jalen Hurts for the 2025 season after the Eagles traded Kenny Pickett to the Browns on Monday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
McKee spent most of the 2024 campaign as the Eagles' emergency quarterback behind Hurts and Pickett. McKee did appear in two games and started in the Eagles' regular-season finale against the Giants, during which he completed 27 of 41 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns. The 2023 seventh-round pick should be the favorite to be the Eagles' backup quarterback in 2025 unless another QB is added through free agency or the draft.

Dell is scheduled to undergo a second procedure Wednesday to repair multiple torn ligaments in his left knee, Sam Warren of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Dell initially underwent surgery Jan. 15, the first of what was expected to be multiple procedures to address a dislocated kneecap as well as a torn ACL, LCL, MCL and associated meniscus damage to his left knee, which he sustained Dec. 21 while catching a touchdown pass in a loss to the Chiefs. Wednesday's surgery will reportedly be to repair the ACL. Head coach DeMeco Ryans said last week that Dell is "headed in the right direction with the recovery," but cautioned that it's "too soon" to project the extent of Dell's potential contributions for the 2025 campaign. Given the severity of Dell's injuries, it wouldn't be surprising if he missed a majority -- if not all -- of the upcoming season. Over his 14 appearances in 2024, Dell turned in a 51-667-3 receiving line on 81 targets.

Cook is seeking a contract extension and said he'd like to get more playing time as well, Ryan Talbot of newyorkupstate.com reports.
Cook scored 18 touchdowns during the 2024 regular season despite playing just 48 percent of snaps in his 16 appearances. He got a carry or target on 50.5 percent of his snaps, which helped make up for the modest playing time and allowed for a second straight 1,000-yard rushing season. He's perhaps the most obvious TD regression candidate in the league for 2025, but he can make up for any losses in per-touch productivity if the Bills give him a larger workload. That's far from guaranteed, of course, considering Cook is one of the league's smaller lead backs (listed at 190 pounds) and has 2024 fourth-round pick Ray Davis behind him on the depth chart. Ty Johnson also got a lot of playing time in 2024, mostly in clear passing situations, but he's scheduled for unrestricted free agency, whereas Cook has one year remaining on his rookie contract.

McPherson (groin) converted 16 of 22 field-goal attempts across 12 regular-season appearances with the Bengals in 2024. He also went 37-for-38 on PATs.
McPherson ended his campaign with a career-low 73 percent conversion rate on field goals before landing on IR with a groin injury in early December, with all four of his misses coming from 50-plus yards out. He inked a three-year, $16.5 million extension with Cincinnati last August, meaning McPherson remains under contract through the 2027 campaign.

Hurts completed 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and added 11 rushes for 72 yards and another score during the Eagles' 40-22 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday.
Hurts put together an MVP-caliber performance on the season's biggest stage, authoring a near-perfect performance that was only marred by an early second-quarter interception on a play where he was under significant pressure. Otherwise, the talented signal-caller was highly efficient when dropping back, hitting on both short passes and occasional downfield shots, such as a 22-yard, third-down strike to A.J. Brown early in the second quarter and his 46-yard touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith with 2:40 remaining in the third quarter that essentially served as the final nail in Kansas City's coffin. Hurts also picked up key yardage on the ground on multiple occasions on his way to his highest rushing yardage tally since Week 2, and he opened the scoring on the night with a one-yard TD rush via a "Tush Push" play. Hurts finished the Eagles' 4-0 postseason with 726 passing yards and a 5:1 TD:INT alongside 194 yards and five rushing TDs on 34 carries, making up for the three-point loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII to cap off the championship run.

Kincaid secured two of four targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 32-29 loss to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
Kincaid's quiet AFCCG performance will be most notably remembered for his drop with just under two minutes left in the fourth quarter, a fourth-and-five play in which Josh Allen found the second-year tight end open downfield, but saw the ball lodge free of his pass-catcher's hands while attempting a diving grab. The admittedly difficult catch highlights disappointment surrounding Kincaid's production Year 2, in which he strung together just a 44-448-2 receiving line across 13 regular-season appearances. Teammate Dawson Knox said Monday that Kincaid played through injuries in both knees, including a torn PCL, per Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News, but he didn't carry an official injury designation into any of the Bills' three playoff appearances.

Al-Shaair (knee) finished the 2024 season with 70 tackles (45 solo), including 2.0 sacks, four pass breakups and two forced fumbles across 11 regular-season games.
Al-Shaair missed three games with a knee injury and was then suspended later in the year after a helmet-to-helmet hit concussed Trevor Lawrence in Week 15. Al-Shaair returned for Week 18 and started both playoff contests but again dealt with knee issues to close out the campaign. After recording double-digit tackles eight times in 2023 with the Titans, Al-Shaair did it just twice this past season in Houston, with none coming after Week 3. The veteran linebacker has two years left on a three-year, $34 million deal.

James logged 93 tackles (60 solo), including 5.5 sacks, seven pass defenses (including one interception) and one fumble recovery across 16 regular-season games in 2024.
James was seven tackles shy from registering his fourth-straight 100-tackle season (and fifth of his NFL career). However, he did manage to register a career-high 5.5 sacks -- two of which came in Week 17 against the Patriots -- which was fourth-most on the Chargers behind Tuli Tuipulotu (8.5), Bud Dupree (6.0) and Khalil Mack (6.0). James will likely start at safety for the 2025 campaign, but it's unclear whether it'll be Elijah Molden (shin), Marcus Maye (ankle) or someone else who will start alongside James.

Bosa finished with 52 tackles (33 solo), including 9.0 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble across 14 starts in 2024.
Bosa didn't live up to the lofty expectations set in previous seasons despite providing well-rounded statistics. The 2022 DPOY didn't sniff that honor this year after dealing with an oblique injury that cost him three games of action. Bosa didn't get rolling again until Week 17, when he produced a pair of sacks against Detroit. With the 49ers missing the playoffs, the elite edge rusher will have a full offseason to return to full strength before running things back in 2025.

Baker racked up 164 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, five pass defenses and one forced fumble in 17 games during the 2024 regular season.
Since entering the NFL as a second-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Baker hasn't been involved too much in terms of turnovers (just seven interceptions, seven forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries in 122 career contests). However, he's reached the century mark in tackles five times in eight campaigns, including a personal best (by 17) in 2024. Baker is under contract through the 2027 campaign, so the 29-year-old remains locked in as a top IDP option among the league's defensive backs.

Pratt signed a reserve/future contract with Tampa Bay on Tuesday.
Pratt was a seventh-round pick by the Packers in the 2024 NFL Draft, but he didn't make the team out of the preseason and spent the majority of the campaign bouncing between the Bucs' practice squad and active roster as the team's emergency QB3. Pratt never got into a regular-season game but will get another shot to try and impress the coaching staff this offseason.

Mayfield completed 15 of 18 passes for 185 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed seven times for 23 yards in the Buccaneers' 23-20 wild-card loss to the Commanders on Sunday night. He also lost a fumble.
Mayfield was nearly perfect in every sense, even finishing the game with a 146.5 quarterback rating. However, his one error was critical, as his early fourth-quarter fumble on an attempted handoff was recovered by the Commanders' Bobby Wagner at the Buccaneers' 13-yard line and was followed by a go-ahead touchdown pass from Jayden Daniels to Terry McLaurin four plays later. While Mayfield drove Tampa Bay 61 yards over eight plays to a field goal that knotted the game up at 20-20, the veteran signal-caller never got another opportunity with the ball. The disappointing finish to the season aside, Mayfield counts the 2024 campaign as his best yet as a pro, as he finished with career highs in completions (407), pass attempts (570), completion percentage (71.4), passing yards (4,500), touchdown passes (41) and rushing yards (378) across 17 regular-season games. Mayfield also tied a career high with three rushing scores, and about the only blemish on his season stat line was the second-highest interception tally of his career (16). Mayfield remains under contract with the Buccaneers through the 2026 season.

McConkey reeled in nine receptions on 14 targets for 197 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 32-12 wild-card round loss to Houston.
McConkey made quite the splash in his postseason debut, setting a new career high in receiving yards (197) while tying his previous high-water mark in receptions (nine). The 23-year-old rookie's box score result was the only one worth mentioning for a Chargers squad that netted just 261 yards of offense against the Texans. The disparity between McConkey and all of Los Angeles' other available receiving options in the blowout loss highlights the team's need to surround its No. 1 option with talent as we look ahead to the 2025 season.

Carlson converted both of his field-goal attempts and each of his two extra-point tries in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Chargers.
Carlson added boots from 40 and 47 yards in the Raiders' season finale to close out his 2024 campaign with an 85 percent make rate on field-goal attempts, his lowest mark since 2019. He ultimately converted 34 of 40 FGA, notably remaining perfect from the 20-39-yard range on 21 total attempts, so his only misses came from 40-plus. He also contributed 23 extra points on 25 tries. Despite the slight dip in FG percentage, the soon-to-be 30-year-old continues to provide Las Vegas with one of the more reliable legs across the league as he enters the final year of his current contract with the team in 2025.

Allen rushed four times for 15 yards while catching two of three targets for eight yards in Sunday's 32-20 win over the Dolphins. He finishes his rookie season with 92 carries for 334 yards and two touchdowns, as well as 19 catches for 148 yards and one touchdown on 27 targets.
Allen won the top backup job behind Breece Hall in training camp and showed promise early, with two of the fourth-round draft pick's three total touchdowns coming Week 2 against the Titans. The rookie wore down and averaged just 3.1 yards per carry from Week 5 onward, and by the end of the year, 2024 fifth-round draft pick Isaiah Davis was splitting backup duties with Allen. The crowded nature of the Jets backfield will make it difficult for Allen to shine in 2025, though the 235-pound running back's big frame makes him a strong candidate for goal-line work.

Parsons recorded four tackles, including 2.5 sacks, in Sunday's loss to the Commanders.
The fourth-year linebacker put an exclamation mark at the end of another impressive season. Despite missing four games due to a high-ankle sprain, Parsons still finished the year with 12.0 sacks in 13 appearances, the fourth straight campaign in which he's racked up a dozen sacks or more. Hall of Famer Reggie White is the only other player in NFL history to start their career with four straight seasons of 12-plus sacks. Parsons is heading into the final year of his rookie contract in 2025, and getting him signed to an extension likely will be the Cowboys' top priority this offseason.

Bowers recorded four receptions on nine targets for 50 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-20 loss to the Chargers.
Bowers was unable to record his first catch until early in the third quarter, and the majority of his production came in garbage time on the Raiders' final offensive possession. Nevertheless, he managed to tally the fifth touchdown of his rookie season and reached at least 50 receiving yards for the fourth time in seven games since the Raiders' bye in Week 10. Bowers ends his incredible campaign with the most receptions by a rookie in NFL history (112) and the most yardage (1,194) by a rookie tight end in league history.

Moore secured nine of 10 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for five yards in the Bears' 24-22 win over the Packers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble.
Moore led the Bears in receptions, receiving yards and targets, a customary development for the talented veteran. He did almost all the work on his 32-yard touchdown catch early in the fourth quarter, taking a screen and weaving his way down the right side of the field to paydirt. Moore worked well with rookie first overall pick Caleb Williams all season, posting posting a career-high 98 receptions for 966 yards and six touchdowns while playing all 17 regular-season games for the fourth time in as many seasons since the schedule expanded in 2021.
